By the fact that she has such a large young family and she seems to close to them has put the working mom world square in the face of the political world. Many women see her as themselves, which works both good and bad. Good because it forms deep connections, bad because it moves her away from being seen as an extraordinary person neccessary to handle the Vice President job. Sarah is in a position no matter what she does it will help and hurt her at the same time.

Right now I feel Sarah is over her head. The real test will coem when she tackles the media and their questions.

Over many years of being in the workforce, if there is one thing I learned early on and that is that if you have a tough job that needs doing, a woman can get the job done. I think that is true in Palin’s case. She is not being asked to take on any more than any man who has a family, a large family, or a family with a disability. She can get the job done because she is a competent, bright, and tough woman. Now, I think, as women, we know that better than anyone else. It is a red herring. She has proven she can walk and chew gum at the same time. Now, I’d like to get the focus back on what she has accomplished as the person up for the second in line for the presidency and compare that to the man up as first in line for the presidency. Not only has she accomplished more, with a large family to raise, but has done it far better and has done it without suing for sexual harassment or sexual discrimination, or any other discrimination! Am I uncomfortable with the choice…not a bit!

I think that the naysayers who are trying to find every little piece of negative information (right or wrong) or question her capabilities are going to be surprised when they have the first vice-presidential debate. Something tells me that Sarah Palin has not shown all her cards … I think there are going to be some surprised people when she shows them how smart, how capable, and how prepared she is. Go, Sarah!

You are right that Sarah has not shown all of her cards. You are assuming she has an Ace in the hole. We won’t know until she lays it all down.
